Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time we talked about daily activities. Today, we will have a Chinese ancient poem.

yǒng liǔ
      (The Willow)

hè zhī zhāng (táng)
           (唐)(He ZhizhangTang)

bì yù zhuāng chéng yī shù gāo
                         高,
(The slender tree is dressed in emerald all about,)

wàn tiáo chuí xià lǜ sī tāo
              绿 绦。
(A thousand branches droop like fringes made of jade.)

bù zhī xì yè shuí cái chū
             出,
(But do you know by whom these slim leaves are cut out?)

èr yuè chūn fēng sì jiǎn dāo
                     刀。
(The wind of early spring is sharp as scissor blade.)

Today’s idiom is:

dǎ cǎo jīng shé
          (beat the grass and frighten away the snake -- act rashly and alert the enemy beat emptily upon the grass, and the snake will be frightened.)

Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. In our previous class we had a quiz for our previous lessons. Today, we will talk about daily activities in Chinese.

1.   nǐ de yī tiān yī bān shì zěn me guò de ne?
                      呢?
(What is a typical day for you?)

2.   wǒ zǎo shàng tōng cháng liù diǎn bàn xǐng.
                                         醒。
(I usually wake up at 6:30 in the morning.)

3.   wǒ qī diǎn zhōng chī zǎo fàn.
                       餐。
(I eat my breakfast at 7:00 in the morning.)

4.   bái xuě měi tiān zǎo chén bā diǎn zhōng qù shàng bān.
                                                  班。
(Bai Xue goes for work at 8:00 every moring.)

5.   wǒ xià bān hòu cháng cháng qù guàng shāng chǎng.
我 下  班 后   常     常  去   逛   商    场。
(I often go to the mall after work.)

6.   wǒ fang xué hòu tōng cháng qù dǎ wǎng qiú.
我  放  学  后  通   常   去打  网  球。
(I usually play tennis after school.)

7.   wǒ xián xiá shí xǐ huān dú shū.
                     书。
(I like reading in my spare time.)

8.   wǒ xí guàn shí'èr diǎn zuǒ yòu shàng chuáng shuì jiào.
 我习                                                觉。
(I used to going to best at about 12:00.)

9.   wǒ xǐ huān zhōu mò qù yóu yǒng.
                          泳。
(I like swimming at weekend.)

10.  bái lěi měi tiān xià wǔ qù diào yú.
                         鱼。
(Bai Lei goes fishing every afternoon.)

11.   tā tōng cháng gōng zuò shí chuān dé hěn zhèng shì.
                                 穿                  式。
(He usually dresses formally for work.)

12.  xué hǎo zhōng wén yào huā xiē shí jiān.
                                     间。
 (It takes time to master Chinese.)

13.  nǐ xǐ  huān nǐ de gōng  zuò ma?
                       吗?
 (Do you like your job?)

14. shì de, gōng zuò suī rán hěn xīn kǔ, dàn shì
   的,                      苦,但  
 wǒ yǐ jīng shì yìng le.
              了。
 (Yes.The work is hard, but I am used to it.)

15. nǐ xí guàn zhè zhǒng shēng huó fāng shì ma?
你 习 惯  这   种    生   活  方  式 吗?
 (Are you used to this kind of life?)

Today’s idiom is:
  
jīn fēi xī bǐ
  (Today is no longer yesterday.)

tā shì yè yī shǐ shí fēn lè guān, dàn xiàn zài yǐ jīn fēi xī bǐ le.
    业伊            ,                昔比了。
(At the beginning of her career she was full of optimism
 but not now.)
