Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time we talked about marriage in Chinese.  Today, we will talk about a sensitive topic --- affair in Chinese.

hūn wài liàn                    wài yù
        (affair)            (affair; have an affair)

pī tuǐ                                 chū guǐ

tā bù xiāng xìn zì jǐ de lǎo gōng huì chū guǐ.

(She does not believe that her husband would cheat on her.)

(That girl with red dress is Manager Li’s lover / mistress.)

(He was sentenced to one year's imprisonment for committing bigamy.)

xiǎo yún hé tā lǎo gōng shàng zhōu lí hūn le.

(Xiaoyun and her husband divorced last week.)

tā dé fù gěi qián qī shàn yǎng fèi, yīn wèi tā fǔ yǎng hái zi.

xiǎo tíng: wǒ men chōu kòng qù zhǎo xiǎo líng chī fàn ba,

                 (Let’s find time to eat with Xiaoling, and we can

bái xuě:   hǎo a, wǒ men jīn tiān wǎn shàng yī qǐ qù chī chuān

xiǎo tíng: hǎo de, wǒ xiàn zài jiù gěi tā dǎ diàn huà.

                 (Ok, I will call her now.)

wǒ què shí xī wàng nǐ néng lái cān jiā hūn lǐ.
        实希                        礼。
(I really hope that you can come to the wedding. )

hūn lǐ shén me shí hòu jǔ xíng?
                   行?
(When is the wedding?)

wǒ péi nǐ qù tiāo hūn shā ba.
                  吧。
(I will be with you to pick the wedding dress.)

nǐ de hūn jiè hěn piào liang.
                 亮。
(Your wedding ring is very pretty.)

wǒ hé xiǎo líng zuò nǐ de bàn niáng ba.
                            吧。
(Xiaoling and I will be your maid of honor.)

wǒ jiāng lái xiǎng lǚ yóu jié hūn.
                        婚。
(I want to have a destination wedding in the future.)
