Lesson 164 – Chinese tongue twister to practice “r”


Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time we talked about about “一直 and 总是” in Chinese. Today, we will have a Chinese tongue twister to practice “r”.

xià rì wú rì rì yì rè,
 夏日  无日日亦 ,
(Summer is still hot even without sun.)

dōng rì yǒu rì rì yì hán,
        日日亦  寒,
(Winter is still cold even with sun.)

chūn rì rì chū tiān jiàn nuǎn,
     日日              暖,
(Spring is warmer and warmer when the sun is coming out.)

shài yī shài bèi shài rù dān,
                   单,
(Hanging out the clothes, quilts, and bed sheet.)

qiū rì tiān gāo fù yún dàn,
                ,
(The sky is high with Humilis cloud in Autumn.)

yáo kàn hóng rì pò xī shān
              西   .
(See the red sun goes down in the west.)

Chinese idiom:

dà qì wǎn chéng
          (A great man becomes famous late in life; A great talent takes time to mature.)

tā shì dà qì wǎn chéng.
           .
(He reached success late in his life.)
