Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time we conversation 7 from the Chinese movie—不见不散 ( bú jiàn bú sàn). Today, we will learn conversation 8 from the Chinese movie—不见不散 ( bú jiàn bú sàn).

bú jiàn bú sàn

 不  见   不  散 ( Be There or Be Square )

yǒu xiē huà wǒ yī zhí xiǎng gēn nǐ shuō, yòu pà shāng zhe nǐ.

  有  些    话  我  一 直     想      跟 你    说，  又   怕      伤    着   你。

I have been trying to tell you something, but I am afraid that will hurt you.

nǐ hái shǎo shāng wǒ le? wǒ xīn dōu suì hǎo jǐ huí le

你 还     少       伤     我了？我   心    都   碎   好  几  回了。

(Did you hurt me enough? I’ve been hurt too many times.)

nǐ kàn a, wǒ lái měi guó 3 nián le, yī nián yī gè biàn huà, zhè nǐ

你  看 啊, 我  来   美    国  3    年  了, 一   年  一 个   变    化，  这 你

yě kàn jiàn le. kě shì nǐ ne? dōu lái 10 nián le, wǒ 3 nián qián

也   看   见  了. 可  是  你 呢？ 都   来 10   年  了,  我 3    年    前

jiàn nǐ shén me yàng xiàn zài hái shén me yàng.

 见  你    什    么    样      现    在  还     什   么     样。

(Look at me. I’ve made progress each of the three years

I’ve been here. But you. You are still the same as the one

 who I saw three years ago.)

wǒ bù xiàng nǐ shì de zhèng qián méi gòu, wǒ jué dé xiǎng shòu

 我  不    像    你  似  的     挣      钱     没    够，我  觉  得     享      受

shēng huó de měi yī fēn zhōng shì zuì zhòng yào de.  zhè cái shì

    生      活  的   每  一  分      钟     是  最      重    要    的。 这   才  是

wǒ shí nián měi guó shēng huó de zuì dà shōu huò.

 我  十    年    美    国       生      活   的  最  大     收    获。

(I do not want to make money like you. I think it is every important to enjoy every minute of life. This is what I learned most from my 10 years USA life.)

zhè bù shì qián bù qián de shì er, nǐ jiù shì méi yǒu dà

 这   不  是    钱   不   钱   的   事 儿, 你 就  是   没    有  大

zhì xiàng.

 志    向。

(This is not about the money. It is about you not having any ambitions.)

zhè shì xǐ mǎ lā yǎ shān mài, zhè shì zhōng guó de qīng zàng

  这  是 喜  马 拉  雅   山     脉，这    是      中     国   的   青      藏

gāo yuán, zhè shì ní bó'ěr, shān mài de nán pō huǎn huǎn de

 高     原，  这   是 尼 泊  尔，山      脉  的   南  坡    缓       缓    的

shēn xiàng yìn dù yáng, shòu yìn dù yáng nuǎn shī qì liú de

   伸      向    印   度   洋，    受    印  度    洋       暖    湿  气 流 的

yǐng xiǎng, ní bó'ěr wáng guó qì hòu shī rùn, sì jì rú chūn,

  影      响，尼  泊 尔    王     国  气   候   湿   润, 四季 如   春，

ér shān mài de běi lù dǒu jiàng, zhōng nián jī xuě. zài jiā

而    山    脉  的   北 麓   陡    降，     终      年  积  雪。 再 加

shàng shēn xiàn dà lù de zhōng bù, yuǎn lí tài ping yáng,

    上       深     陷   大 陆 的     中     部，远   离 太   平      洋，

suǒ yǐ, zì rán qì hòu shí fēn de è liè.

  所 以, 自  然 气   候   十  分  的 恶 劣。

(This is the Himalayas. This is Tibet and this is Nepal. South of the mountains expends slowly to the Indian Ocean.  The air off the Indian Ocean makes Nepal a fertile land with an eternal spring. But the north of the mountains, it is nothing but snow. What’s more, it is in the middle of the land and also is far away from the Pacafics. All these conditions make more hardship to have nothing to grow.  )

  这 你  又    扯   哪 儿 去 了？

(Where are you going with this?)

 

rú guǒ wǒ men bǎ xǐ mǎ lā yǎ shān zhà kāi yī dào wǔ shí

如   果  我    们   把 喜  马 拉 雅    山     炸  开 一   道   五  十

gōng lǐ kuān de kǒu zi, shì jiè wū jí hái liú zhe. bǎ yìn dù

   公  里   宽    的   口 子,  世 界   屋 脊 还  留   着。把  印  度

yáng de nuǎn fēng yǐn dào wǒ men zhè lǐ lái, shì xiǎng

   洋   的    暖     风    引   到   我    们    这  里 来,  试    想

yī xià, nà wǒ men měi lì de qīng zàng gāo yuán cóng cǐ

一 下,  那  我    们    美 丽 的   青     藏     高     原      从   此

zhāi diào le luò hòu de mào zi bù suàn, hái dé biàn chū

  摘    掉   了  落   后   的   帽  子  不   算，   还  得   变     出

lái duō shǎo gè yú mǐ zhī xiāng?

来   多     少    个 鱼  米  之    乡？

(What if we blew a 50-kilometer wide channel through the Himalayas, allowing the warmth from the Indian Ocean into Tibet. Try to imagine, our beautiful Tibet plateau will get rid of poverty, and how plentiful it would be?)

nà wǒ yě jué dé nǐ zhè xiǎng fǎ tǐng jué de. wǒ fā xiàn

那  我  也  觉  得  你  这    想    法   挺   绝   的.  我 发   现

10 gè wǒ jiā qǐ lái yě bù rú nǐ cōng míng.

10个  我  加  起 来 也 不 如  你   聪     明。

(I still think think your idea is really marvelous. I don’t think

 10 of me would be as smart as you.)

shuō zhèng jīng de, wǒ lā nǐ qù  ā lā sī jiā kàn bīng hú ba.

    说      正     经   的, 我  拉 你 去 阿拉 斯 加   看     冰    湖  吧。

(Seriously, let me take you to Alaska to see the glaciers. )

wǒ xiǎng chèn zhè ge jià qī bèi bèi kè. nǐ qù wán er ba, fàng

 我    想       趁     这 个  假 期  备  备  课.  你  去   玩   儿 吧，放

nǐ 20 tiān jià.

你 20 天   假。

(I want to prepare for class in this summer vacation. You go

by yourself. I will give you 20 days off.)

qù bú qù ba,   nǐ shuō.

去  不  去  吧，你   说。

(Are you going or not? Tell me.)

bú qù

 不 去。(No.)

qù bú qù

 去 不  去？(Go or not?)

bú qù

不去。(No.)

bú qù wǒ zì jǐ qù.

不  去  我 自 己 去。

(Then, I will go by myself.)
