Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time we talked about the prepositions in Chinese part III. Today, we will have a tongue twister to practice how to pronounce simple vowel -- ü.

“nǚ xiǎo lǚ hé nǚ lǎo lǐ”
           
(Little girl xiao lü and Mrs. Li)

zhè tiān tiān xià yǚ,
              雨,
(It is raining today.)

tǐ yù jǘ chuān lǜ yǚ yī de nǚ xiǎo lǚ,
体育局      穿    绿 雨衣       吕,
(Little girl xiao lü with green raincoat who is working in Sports Bureau,)

qù zhǎo chuān lǜ yùn dòng yī de nǚ lǎo lǐ.
            穿    绿               李。
(Went for Mrs. Li who is wearing green Sportswear.)

chuān lǜ yǚ yī de nǚ xiǎo lǚ,
     穿   绿       吕,
(Little girl xiao lü with green raincoat,)

méi zhǎo dào chuān lǜ yùn dòng yī de nǚ lǎo lǐ,
                 穿    绿              李,
(Did not find Mrs. Li who is wearing green Sportswear.)

chuān lǜ yùn dòng yī de nǚ lǎo lǐ,
    穿    绿              李,
(Mrs. Li who is wearing green Sportswear,)

yě méi jiàn zhe chuān lǜ yǚ yī de nǚ xiǎo lǚ.
                穿    绿        吕。
(Did not see little girl xiao lü with green raincoat either.)
