Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese
Language Learning Program. Last time we talked about Onomatopoeia in Chinese. Today,
we will talk about A Chinese tongue twister to practice how to pronounce can,
chan, cang and chang.
cán hé chán
蚕 和 蝉 (Silkworm and cicada)
pá lái pá qù shì cán,
爬 来 爬 去 是 蚕,(The crawling one is the silkworm,)
fēi lái fēi qù shì chán.
飞 来 飞 去 是 蝉. (The Flying one is the cicada.)
cán cháng zài sāng yè lǐ cáng,
蚕 常 在 桑 叶里 藏,
(The silkworm is usually hiding in the mulberry leaves.)
chán cáng zài shù lín lǐ chàng.
蝉 藏 在 树 林里 唱。
(The cicada is always singing in the woods)
