Lesson 172 –  Conversation 2 from bú jiàn bú sàn

 

Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time we talked about an idiom in Chinese. Today, we will learn conversation2 from the Chinese movie—不见不散 ( bú jiàn bú sàn).

bú jiàn bú sàn

 不  见   不  散 ( Be There or Be Square )

Man : liú gè jìn iàn ba, yě suàn lái le tàng měi guó.

           留  个 纪   念  吧, 也    算   来 了   趟    美    国。

          (Keep this for a memory to remember that you’ve been to

           the United States.)

Woman:  jī piào qián wǒ huì huán gěi nǐ de.

                机  票    钱     我   会     还   给  你 的。

                (I will pay you back for the plane ticket.)

Man: suàn le ba, bù guǎn zěn me shuō yě suàn zán liǎ yǒu yuán.

             算   了吧 ,  不     管    怎   么     说   也    算     咱  俩  有     缘。

          (Forget about it. In any case, it seems that we were

           destined.)

Man: shuō bu dìng wǒ yǐ hòu hùn bù xià qù le, dào běi jīng hái

             说   不    定    我 以   后    混   不 下   去了,   到   北   京    还

         dé zhǎo nǐ gěi wǒ kǒu fàn chī.

         得    找   你  给  我   口    饭   吃。

         (Maybe later if I could live here no longer, and I will have to

           ask you to give me something to eat.)

Woman:  nǐ shì gè hǎo rén.

                你  是  个   好   人。(You are a good person.)

Man:  kě néng shì ba, wǒ yě bù zhī dào.

           可     能    是 吧，我 也  不   知   道。(Maybe, I do not know.)

Woman:  wǒ shuō de shì xīn lǐ huà.

                 我     说    的  是  心  里 话。

                (I am talking about the truth. / I am serious.)

Man:  nǐ jiù bié shuō le, huí tóu wǒ xīn yī ruǎn,

           你 就 别      说  了，回   头  我   心  一   软，

          zài gěi nǐ liú xià.

           再  给  你 留  下。

          (Please do not say that again, in case later my heart

            is softened that I will ask you to stay.)

Woman:  zhè fēng xìn má fan nǐ jiāo gěi wǒ yí mā.

                  这    封   信   麻  烦  你  交    给  我 姨  妈。

                 (Please give this letter to my aunt.)

Man:  xíng. huí qù jiàn dào liú xiǎo diàn nà bāng rén,

             行，回   头  见    到   刘   小    淀    那    帮    人，

          bāng wǒ wèn gè hǎo.

             帮    我   问   个   好。

          (Ok, when you meet Liu Xiaodian and other people,

            please say hello to them.)

Woman:  ài. wǒ zǒu le.

                哎, 我   走  了。(Ok, I am leaving now.)

Woman:  zài jiàn.

                 再  见。(Bye.)
