Lesson 45 – Answering the telephone in Chinese

Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time, we talked about dialing a wrong number in Chinese. Today, we are going to talk about answering the telephone in mandarin Chinese.

(Ok, see you then.)

Ok, now let’s listen to a conversation about answering the telephone. This will be another test. Please listen carefully and catch up whatever you can. If you can understand the conversation, you will pass the test. Try your best to understand this conversation. Good luck!

Today’s idiom is “ài wū jí wū. (爱屋及乌)”---means “Love me, love my dog”.

That is all for today. We will talk about Thanksgiving and Christmas in Chinese in our next class.
