Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese
Language Learning Program. Last time we talked about how to say clothes in
Chinese. Today, we will talk about a Chinese poem about spring.
《chūn xiǎo》
《 春 晓 》
(Spring Morning)
zuòzhě:mènɡ hào rán
作 者: 孟 浩 然
(Author: Meng Haoran (Tang Dynasty))
chūn mián bù jué xiǎo,
春 眠 不 觉 晓,
(I slept so well, not knowing spring dawn's already here,)
chù chù wén tí niǎo。
处 处 闻 啼 鸟。
(Awakened by birds singing everywhere.)
yè lái fēnɡ yǔ shēnɡ,
夜 来 风 雨 声,
(All through last night there were strong winds and
showers.)
huā luò zhī duō shǎo。
花 落 知 多 少。
(Do you know the number of fallen flowers?)
qiū qiān diào yǐ
秋 千 (swing) 吊 椅(hanging chair)
diào chuáng tǎng yǐ
吊 床 (Hammock) 躺 椅(deck chair)
