Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time we had a Chinese ancient poem. Today, we will talk about past activities.

                里了?
(Where were you last Sunday?)

wǒ qù niǔ yuē le.
          了。(I went to New York.)

bái xuě zài  nǎ'er?  tā gāng cái hái zài zhè'er ne.
          哪儿? 她               呢。
(Where is Bai Xue? She was here a minute ago.)

bái  yī shēng liǎng nián qián tuì xiū le.
                            退   了。
(Dr. Bai retired two years ago.)

wǒ zǎo zhī dào huì zhè yàng.
                    样。
(I told you so.)

bái lěi yǐ qián shì gè IT,  xiàn zài tā zì jǐ kāi gōng sī lǐ.
           IT     自己        司了。
(Bai Lei used to be a IT, now opened his own company.)

zhè lǐ yuán lái shì gè chí táng.
  这里                塘。
(This uses to be a pond.)

wǒ xiàng nǐ zhè me dà de shí hòu yǐ jīng gōng zuò le.
                                       了。
(I worked at your age.)

                    子不          山。
(I told you your shoes are not suitable for climbing.)

wǒ yǐ qián cháng cháng lái zhè'er.
                            儿。
(I used to come here a lot.)

wǒ hěn xiǎng zhǎo huí yǐ qián de zì jǐ.
                            自己。
(I want to be what I was.)

wǒ guò qù xiǎng chéng wéi xiàn zài de yàng zi.
                                          子。
(I really wanted to be what I am.)

 (We met before.)

Today’s idiom is:

nòng qiǎo chéng zhuō

(do a seemingly clever thing which turns out to be a foolish one instead get into trouble through clever means)

tā nòng qiǎo chéng zhuō.
                       拙。
(He contrived to make matters worse.)

Ok, that is all for today.

xiè  xiè!
    ! (Thanks!)

xià  cì  jiàn
     !  (See you next time!)
