Lesson 133 – Do you really know the meanings of these Chinese sentences?


Hello, everyone. Welcome back. This is Baixue’s Chinese Language Learning Program. Last time we talked about the shì sentence in Chinese. Today, we will talk about some Chinese Sentences. These sentences can have different meanings with the same Chinese characters.

1.   dōng tiān: néng chuān duō shǎo chuān duō shǎo;
       天:           穿                   穿          少;
(Winter: wearing as much as you can.)

xià tiān: néng chuān duō shǎo chuān duō shǎo.
    天:          穿                  穿          少。
(Summer: wearing as less as you can.)

2.   shèng nǚ chǎn shēng de yuán yīn yǒu liǎng gè:  yī shì 
                                                  
shuí dōu kàn bù shàng;  èr shì shuí dōu kàn bù shàng.
   谁             上;                          上。
(There are two reasons how leftover women are generated: the first reason is that they do not like anybody; the second reason is that nobody likes them.)

3.   dān shēn rén de lái yóu: yuán lái shì xǐ huān yī gè rén, 
                 由:                  人, 
xiàn zài shì xǐ huān yī gè rén.
 现              人。
(The reason of being single: Liking a person before; but now liking being alone.)
